Lunch with Brian

Thai Passion, May 4, 2009
Thai Passion has reasonably priced Thai food. I was on a low carb diet the week we went, so I got some stir fried chicken and veggies with rice, but I didn't eat the rice. Brian got Pad Thai with beef. When Brian excused himself from the table for a few minutes, I snuck a piece of the beef.

Brian asked for a condiment caddy because condiment caddies always make things more fun. I thought it would be a four condiment caddy, but it was just the standard two condiment caddy with some chili paste and something else I can't remember.
We sat in the back room with a skylight. It seems like it used to be an alley between sections of the building, but then someone enclosed it in glass. Some of the glass ceiling was shattered, but I guess they're not too concerned about it because there's a table under the shattered glass.

They have orchids on the table that are so pretty I always think they're fake.

We like Thai Passion, and I'm sure we'll go again. The parking is street parking, and we've noticed that the parking meters often eat one of the quarters without giving us the 15 minutes we deserve. Brian suggested I call the Austin American Statesman Citizen Brigade or whatever they call their consumer watchdog group.
In my electronic notepad where I take notes about lunch, I typed "Team P" but I don't know what I was going for. Serves me right for waiting so long to write about lunch. Maybe Brian knows.
